Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering & Technical support person for their delivery of the Test and Development (T&D) Schedule.
- Manage and maintain test equipment, spare parts, service schedules, and records.
- Ensure test equipment is prepared, commissioned, and fit for testing activities.
- Support and conduct performance tests on driver safety assist technologies. Identify and implement efficiency improvements in testing processes.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of test equipment, ensuring all tools are in peak condition.

The position is responsible for facilitating and delivering the objectives of SAE-A developed cooperatively between the General Manager and the SAE-A Board.

As General Manager, you will take the lead in:
- Providing leadership and advocacy to automotive professionals in Australia
- Engage with key industry stakeholders, educational institutions and Governments
- Work closely with the Board of the Society and other committees as required
- Work with overseas bodies such as SAE-International and FISITA
- Develop strategies and marketing plans to diversify the organisation
- Lead a small team of individuals, increase efficiencies and productivity including managing staff performance
- Develop a robust strategy to increase activities for members and the industry through technical conferences and training
- Oversee the management of events
- Manage the production of member publications and communiques
- In conjunction with the Board, set relevant goals and objectives for the Society and manage their implementation
