Jamie Augustine, Technical Regulations & Special Projects Manager, Motorsport Australia, built his first race car an, Mk1 Escort Sports Sedan, whilst working as a computer programmer in aviation. His self-taught car building skills led to a position doing electrics, electronics and IT for V8 Supercar team – Glenn Seton Racing. Jamie has raced in both Bathurst and Merdeka Sepang, Malaysia, 12-hour races; won the 2B Sportscar and 2-litre Sports Sedan racing state championships; and developed and managed technology across racing vehicles.
Jamie will provide insight into the many directions engineering can take you in Motorsport; vehicle design, engine design and calibration, wiring and electrical, and information technology. Providing the knowledge you need to take your education trackside.

Racecar development: from conception to the track
Global sports car and endurance racing manufacturer and team MARC Cars own Alyson Fradgley, Team Manager, joins us, along with founder of PACE Innovations Paul Ceprnich. Mechanical Engineer; to provide insight into their collaboration — that led to the design of a highly in-demand racecar.
Alyson will share highlights from her extensive experience managing Motorsport teams and sourcing quality parts. While Paul will discuss the challenges and achievements on the journey to designing the 'best racecar chassis' in Australia; the decisions that took them from the MARC l to the MARC ll.
