Professional Awards Criteria
The following outlines the criteria which will be applied in selecting the winner for the Professional Awards in which there are three categories:
- Young Mobility Engineer of the Year
- Woman Mobility Engineer of the Year
- Significant Services to the Mobility Engineering Sector
The Young Mobility Engineer of the Year award will be presented to a young engineer who has demonstrated excellent performance through creativity, advanced learning, product innovations, improved efficiencies, project management or services to the market.
The term “young engineer” defines a professional engineer involved in the mobility industry, who is 30 years of age or younger, as at the submission close date.
The on-line application form for each category must contain:
- The concept of the product, innovation or service;
- Engineering and scientific disciplines that were used by the applicant including their application in market;
- Environmental and sustainability features of the work;
- The value of the product and its contribution to the company, organisation and the industry including the broader community;
- The extent of the applicant’s personal contribution to the initiative;
- Any other areas of significance.
- Note that the submission cannot be based on studies undertaken as an undergraduate or post graduate student.
The Woman Engineer of the Year award will be presented to to a woman in industry who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and technical capability in a company, organisation or R&D agency.
The online application form for this category must contain evidence that demonstrates:
- Outstanding leadership in the mobility engineering sector;
- Advocating and empowering women in industry;
- STEM’s promotion;
- Significant technical/and or operational contributions to the company, organisation or R&D agency;
- Commitment to advancing technologies;
- Any other areas of significance.
The Significant Services to the Mobility Engineering Sector award will be presented to to a person who has demonstrated commitment, dedication and technical advancement to the mobility engineering sector over a substantial period of time.
The on-line application form for this category must contain evidence that demonstrates:
- Advocating and empowering people in industry;
- Dedication and commitment to advancing technologies;
- Research and Development;
- Outstanding leadership in the mobility engineering sector;
- Any other areas of significance.
