Working closely with the SAE-A, FISITA has opened applications for its EuroBrake Student & Young Engineers Programme 2026, offering engineering students and early-career professionals complimentary access to one of the global braking technology sector’s most influential events.

Designed to give young talent first-hand exposure to developments in brake system design, friction materials and mobility engineering, the programme invites submissions through 27 February 2026. Selected participants will receive a free pass to the three-day EuroBrake conference and exhibition, a key forum for braking engineers, OEMs, suppliers and researchers.

EuroBrake 2026 will take place in Mainz, Germany, bringing together experts from across the brake and friction technology value chain to address technical challenges including non-exhaust emissions, brake-by-wire systems and regenerative braking integration. The student initiative reflects FISITA’s broader mission to connect the next generation of engineers with cutting-edge industry discourse and networking opportunities.

In its latest newsletter update, FISITA also outlined a strong global events calendar, including the FISITA World Mobility Summit in Warren, Michigan, which will convene mobility leaders to discuss electrification, safety and next-generation transportation technologies. An Intelligent Safety Conference in China later this year will further expand the organisation’s technical footprint across key international markets.

By integrating student development programs into its flagship conferences while expanding its international event reach, FISITA is reinforcing its role as a central platform for engineering exchange, professional development and technical collaboration across the global mobility sector.
