The Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia extends its congratulations to Shubham Mathure on his recent graduation from the Master of Management (General) at the University of Melbourne.
For the past few months Shubham has been completing an internship at the SAE-A where he has been supporting the strategic shift from conventional to innovative mobility engineering. During this time, he has researched over 50 emerging and existing Electrical and Autonomous Vehicle (EV/AV) technology companies across Australia and New Zealand, aiming to build a comprehensive database. This will assist SAE-A’s transition into the electric and autonomous mobility space.
During the two-year course, Shubham developed a new strategic framework called “O-WASTE” for fashion business H&M Group, aimed at guiding the company toward more sustainable fashion operations. He also researched Toyota’s global supply chain and proposed key recommendations to overcome current challenges. Beyond the classroom, he served as a Peer Mentor at the Melbourne Business School Student Association and co-organised a cross-cultural event in 2024 that celebrated diversity and inclusion.
Additionally, Shubham held the position of Finance and Procurement Lead at The University of Melbourne, managing procurement processes and a sizeable operational budget. He also participated in the university’s Innovation Challenge and Industry Project, solving real-world business problems in collaboration with companies.
Looking ahead, Shubham hopes to work in a consulting role where he can assist companies to develop sustainable and tech-driven strategies, particularly in automotive and transport innovation.
