Dr Adam Best to talk at SAE-A 2025 AGM

An inspirational leading research scientist from the CSIRO has been announced as the guest speaker at the Society’s AGM and networking event.

The Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia (SAE-A) is very pleased to invite you to the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and networking event on May 13, 2025 at The Canterbury International Hotel, Forrest Hill, Victoria, from 6.00pm. Tickets are $50 for SAE-A member students, $70 for non-member students, $80 for SAE-A members and $120 for non-members. Online meeting participation is available. The AGM will get underway at 6:00pm sharp where the 2024-year will be reviewed following a discussion around future important dates.

For those who attend in person there will be a networking opportunity from 6:30pm followed by Guest Speaker, Dr Adam Best, at 7:00pm.

Based in Melbourne, Dr Adam Best is the Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO Manufacturing. Dr Best will talk to us about “advances in battery technologies – powering Australia’s manufacturing future”.

Educated at Harvard Business School and Monash University, Adam has extensive experience developing technologies and partnering with industry to forge an Australian battery industry that is ready to respond to local and global market demand.

His research team has capabilities in materials development, cell chemistry, fabrication and device testing. They can also design and prototype battery energy storage systems across a wide range of applications, from large-scale energy storage, transportation and disruptive mobility.

There will be plenty of time for comments and questions.
