SAE-A Welcomes new-comers

We are very pleased to announce Angela Krepcik as the new General Manager of the Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia (SAE-A). With over 20 years of leadership experience, including CEO roles in industry associations, Angela brings a deep understanding of the mobility sector and a proven track record in strategic growth, financial oversight, and team development. Her expertise spans business development, agile project management, government grants, advocacy, marketing, and professional training. Angela’s forward-thinking approach and strength in change management will be instrumental in SAE-A’s transformation journey, ensuring we remain strong, relevant, and positioned for future success.
Sabah Zaman has been appointed Events and Communications Manager. An accomplished Industrial Designer, Sabah brings over seven years of experience in design, management, and advisory roles. She has a strong passion for collaboration and innovation, consistently delivering solutions that make a lasting impact.
She was part of the world’s first all-women Formula Student team, competed in the UK, and has been actively engaged in the competition for over six years. Most recently, she volunteered at the 2024 Formula SAE-A competition as a Business Presentation Judge, Technical Inspection Official, and guest commentator on BlendTV alongside Phil Memery. Beyond events, Sabah will play a crucial role in SAE-A’s long-term strategy by researching Electric Vehicle and Autonomous Vehicle markets and expanding the network of emerging technology companies.
Allan Edwards has joined SAE-A as Editor of VTE Magazine and the SAE-A eNewsletter. With over 30 years of editorial experience, Allan has led top automotive publications, including Australian Automotive Aftermarket Magazine, Australasian Auto Action, Motorsport Legends, and SupercarXtra. He brings a deep understanding of the industry and a proven ability to deliver high-quality content. Allan holds a Masters of Business from Deakin University and an Associate Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing.
