For businesses, researchers and engineering leaders across Australasia's mobility engineering supply chain, the Society of Mobility Engineers - Australasia is your independent partner in navigating the continuing evolution of our domestic and international mobility sector.
Formerly known as the Society of Automotive Engineers - Australasia (SAE-A), in 2026 we introduced a new name that better reflects the broad skills and capabilities of the engineers equipping Australasia’s mobility sector for the future. Governments, academia and industry must support our engineers to expand their skillsets across the converging technologies that will power tomorrow’s mobility solutions.
Today, we help organisations sector-wide to unite and navigate the intersection between rapid technological change and evolving cross-sector skills.
We do this by bringing together leaders across land, sea, air, and emerging technologies to:
- collaborate on new opportunities;
- solve sector-wide challenges;
- showcase Australia’s sovereign capability;
- and, ensure technical capability for mobility engineers through continued professional development and industry certifications.
