SAE-A is an industry recognised association that represents its members as a professional community
Members enjoy the many benefits of being a part the Society of Automotive Engineers Australasia (SAE-A) and being a part of the mobility engineering sector through technology transfer, networking, information sharing and career development.
Our members include students, affiliates and accredited engineers. They come from a diverse range of industry sectors such automotive technologies (mechanical, electric and autonomous), aerospace, defence and aviation, rail and rolling stock, heavy vehicles (on and off road), specialty vehicles and the micro-mobility sector.
Existing members are encouraged to upgrade to a higher level of membership as further experience and qualifications are achieved.
Membership offers a common ground for the exchange of ideas and information and provides opportunities to make useful business contacts.

Fellow
(F SAE-A)
For experienced individuals who have led significant engineering developments, held positions of responsibility, and established extensive careers in engineering. Applications will be reviewed by the SAE-A Qualifications and Grading Committee.

For engineers in the industry, who have a minimum of 5 years or hold an engineering, science or technology degree or advanced diploma.

For individuals who are involved in or have a strong interest in the mobility engineering sector.
