SAE-A Invites you to attend the Industry Networking Dinner with Guest Speakers

Notice is hereby given of the 72nd  Annual General Meeting of the Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia to be held on Thursday 16 May 2019 followed by an Industry Networking Dinner....all welcome!

Held at the beautiful Batman's Hill on Collins at 623 Collins Street, Melbourne we encourage members and non-members to attend the AGM for discussion on the outcomes of the 2018 activities, as well as a look ahead to 2019 and beyond.  In order to assist with our planning and ensure a quorum for the meeting, RSVP’s from SAE-A members to the Annual General Meeting would be appreciated by 10 May 2019 by registering HERE.
Please note that un-financial or non-members of SAE-A will not eligible to vote at the AGM.

These formalities will be followed by a two course Networking Dinner with drinks included for members and non-members.


We expect the room will be filled with key industry people with an interest in all sectors of the mobility industry which will provide you with a great opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals.

Introducing our guest speakers on the night...  

Troy D'Souza, Senior Engagement and Education Specialist in Toyota's Advanced Planning Department.  Troy will be joining us at the dinner to talk about why Toyota is focusing on hydrogen and fuel cell electric vehicles. Troy will explain the background to hydrogen mobility and infrastructure and share some of Toyota's key engagement activities in this area.
Troy has 20 years experience in the automotive industry and has been with Toyota Australia for over 10 years, working within Quality Engineering, Product Planning and now Advanced Planning. His work includes managing the program for Australia’s first ever fuel cell electric vehicle trial program with external participants which launched in October last year.

Simon De BellHead of Corporate Development for ABB Australia.  Simon will present on the "Silent Partner – Electric Vehicles contribution to Australia’s Green House Gas reduction commitments”. 
Simon is responsible for driving key strategic and customer initiatives. He is involved with the transformation taking place in the energy, transportation, and data sectors leading ABB’s engagement with government, industry associations and universities on energy and climate policy.

We encourage you to attend and show your support for the Society whilst we continue to work hard on future services for our members and our contribution to the mobility industry.
